The Roccatre gallery inaugurates an extraordinary collective exhibition entitled Empatie, presenting twenty selected works that, although different, perfectly manage to dialogue with each other in a sort of mutual empathy, arousing unique emotions in the viewer. In fact, by broadening the meaning of the term empathy (I feel with you), formulated in 1917 by Edith Stein, the exhibition experiments with the possibility of placing different artists side by side, paying particular attention to the materials and their different physicality. A precious and ethereal paper by Lucio Fontana from 1949 compared with the unpublished material composition by Ennio Morlotti; a rare seascape by Franco Gentilini on sandblasted canvas from 1964 is compared with a contemporary informal Enrico Paulucci; two captivating Luigi Veronesis next to an Agostino Bonalumi from 1972 that stands out for his three-dimensional design; the power of Mattia Moreni next to a historic work by Fritz Baumgartner; a careful selection of drawings by Felice Casorati, Fausto Melotti, Piero Ruggeri and Atanasio Soldati with careful tissue paper by Laura Castagno.
