Roccatre art gallery inaugurates an exhibition that aims to be a small tribute to the friendship between two great artists of the Turin art scene of national and international fame, Marco Gastini (Turin 1938 – 2018) and Luigi Mainolfi (Rotondi 1948). The painter and the sculptor were linked by a relationship of great friendship and mutual esteem, albeit with a different vision of art. The exhibition will see an extraordinary selection of very significant works of the work of the two masters; we will see the dialogue between the colours and the use of different materials by Marco Gastini (such as the small plexiglass from 1970, the monumental work from 1989 entitled L’albero di rugiada and the Quadrello blu on canvas and iron from 2002), with the extraordinary works in terracotta, bronze and iron by Luigi Mainolfi (the “Città bronzetto” from 1987, the “Città” in terracotta from 1990 and the “Paesaggi” in iron from 1995 to name a few).
